ECS is a sister company of DD trans which for years has been a leading player on the short-sea market.

Founded in 1995, the company has in the meantime developed into a 45’ intermodal, logistics operator of European stature. The core business is transporting full loads between the European continent and the United Kingdom and Ireland.
To this end, use is made of 4.550 45’ 9’6’’ containers. ECS furthermore also specialises in refrigerated loads and in the meantime has a fleet of 325 reefer containers and more than 106 refrigerated trailers.

All operations are steered centrally from the Zeebrugge head office, where all the staff functions also work. Satellite offices are based in Venlo, Le Havre, Waterford and Novara.

In Zeebrugge, ECS has 25.000 m² warehouse space (of which 3.000 m² refrigerated) which can be used as a bridgehead between the islands and the continent.

This makes ECS a significant employer with 150 employees and 30 workers.
